Lorraine Elizabeth Ordway, 76, of Jefferson City, formerly of Saline County, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at St. Joseph's Home.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at St. Peter's Church in Jefferson City. Rev. Chris Cordes, Rev. Brendan Doyle and Rev. I.C. Medina officiated. Visitation will be held at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Father Kevin Gormley will officiate. Memorials are suggested to the Community Hospice of Mid-Missouri.
Born April 1, 1929, in Shackelford, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Estelle Walther Hoecker. On Aug. 12, 1950, in Marshall, she married David Vincent Ordway, who preceded her in death Jan. 10, 1977. She was a lifelong resident of central Missouri and a graduate of Malta Bend High School in Malta Bend. She was employed with the Villa Marie skilled nursing facility as an administrative assistant. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and St. Peter's Catholic Church.
Survivors include five sons, Robert D. Ordway of Jefferson City, Walter W. Ordway of Holts Summit, Mark E. Ordway of Henley, Roger J. Ordway of Jefferson City and David P. Ordway of Jefferson City; two daughters, Diane O. Thompson of Overland Park, Kan., and Linda L. Farris of Jefferson City; and 13 grandchildren.
