Aileen Dennis Perkins, 88, of Odessa, formerly of Marshall, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Russ Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Gill Memorial Baptist Church in Marshall.
Born March 27, 1917, in Hickory County, she was the daughter of the late George Landreth and Etta Hopkins Landreth. On April 20, 1935, she married Rowland Dennis, who preceded her in death Jan. 29, 1981. On May 9, 1982, she married Amos Perkins, who preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1997. She moved to Marshall in 1971, moving from Versailles, and had lived in Odessa since 2005. She worked as a bookkeeper for MFA in Marshall and was a homemaker. She was a member of Gill Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Virginia Garner of Estill Springs, Tenn.; one stepson, Monroe Perkins of rural Marshall; one stepdaughter, Phyllis Kimzey of Odessa; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one grandson, two brothers and one sister.
