Joe Dale Wilson, 71, of Napton, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia.
Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Zoar Cemetery in Napton with military rites at graveside. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Born Jan. 15, 1935, in Saline County, he was the son of the late David William Wilson and Lorene Brown Wilson. In August 1955, he married Fannie Mildred Garrett, who preceded him in death Nov. 12, 1984. He had lived in Saline County his entire life and retired from International Shoe Factory after more than 20 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include five daughters, Janet Lightfoot of Aurora, Denise Steffens of Blackburn, Sandy Jensen of St. Louis, Laurie Wilson of Napton and Renata Proctor of Napton; three sons, Michael Joe Wilson of Branson, Treve Wilson of Marshall and Aaron Kelly Wilson of Slater; two brothers, David Junior Wilson of Napton and Rick Wilson of St. Joseph; two sisters, Barbara Wise of Marshall and Terry Scheid of Napton; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
