Earl William "Dick" Kammeyer, 91, of Marshall, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Rick Aulgur officiated. Burial was in Arrow Rock Cemetery in Arrow Rock. Memorials may be made to Arrow Rock Cemetery.
Born Dec. 14, 1914, near Arrow Rock, he was the son of the late William Kammeyer and Alice Janneck Kammeyer. On May 12, 1938, he married Ruby Griffith, who survives of the home. He had lived in Saline County his entire life moving to Marshall from Arrow Rock in 1990. He was a retired farmer and stockman.
Additional survivors include a sister, Lorene Kammeyer Fritz of Overland Park, Kan.; three nieces, Betty Brown of Columbia, Mary Lou Postle of St. Louis and Becky Fresia and husband Tony of Overland Park, Kan.; two nephews, Robert Fritz and wife Barbara of Pasco, Wash., and George "Bill" Fritz and wife Betty Jane of Coppers Cove, Texas; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Kammeyer; and a sister, Mable Kammeyer Fritz.
