Ralph G. Grubb, 87, of rural Hardeman, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at Faith Family Church in Fayette. Rev. Jamie Page will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Faith Family Church.
Born Feb. 27, 1918, in Rockport, he was the son of the late Melvin Grubb and Mary Walters Grubb. On Jan. 21, 1940, he married Ruth Kimbrough, who preceded him in death Nov. 19, 2005. He had lived in the Hardeman community the last 60 years, was a farmer and was also owner/operator of a painting company. He was a member of Faith Family Church and Promise Keepers.
Survivors include one daughter, Jan Steele of Lewisville, Texas; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Joan Fischer; one great-grandson; one sister and five brothers.
