Leander Hay, 88, of rural Gilliam, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at Brunswick Nursing Home in Brunswick.

Cremation. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Debbie Roath will officiate. Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Born July 6, 1917, in rural Gilliam, he was the son of the late Harry and Minnie Lakin Hay. He was a retired farmer and member of Missouri Nut Growers Association.

Survivors include one sister, Christine Murphy of rural Gilliam; and several nieces and nephews.
