Peggy Garrard, 44, of Marshall, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, in Otterville as the result of an automobile accident.
Cremation. Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Steve Parker officiated. Burial will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, in Frost Town Community Cemetery in Downsville, La. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Saline Animal League or Butterfield Youth Services.
Born May 14, 1961, in Monroe, La., she was the daughter of the late Jimmy Claude Garrard and Joyce Ann Frost Rodriguez, who survives of Montgomery, Texas. She had lived in Marshall the last 10 years, moving from Auxvasse, and was a child care supervisor for Butterfield Youth Services in Marshall. She was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Philippines and was a member of Malta Bend American Legion Post 558. She was an avid bowler.
Additional survivors include three brothers, Jimmy Claude Garrard Jr. and James Jerrel Garrard and wife Marlene of Shreveport, La., and Alfred Charles Rodriguez of Cincinnati, Ohio; four sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Garrard of Auxvasse, Karen Rochelle Garrard of Huntsville, Texas, Angela Felicia Parker and husband Steve of Shreveport, La., and Rachel Adelle Rodriguez of State College, Pa.; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Judy McKinney of Marshall.
