Dorothy Mildred Maddox, 92, of Marshall, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 16, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Vernon Maxted and Rev. Wayne Doolin will both officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
Born June 20, 1913, near Sweet Springs, she was the daughter of the late Richard Mayse and Bessie Mae Dickerson Mayse. In 1933, she married William Murrel Shull and then in 1948 she married Harry Maddox, who preceded her in death on April 22, 1990. She had lived in Saline county her entire life where she was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Marshall.
Survivors include one daughter, Glenda Shull Stone and husband Gerald of Marshall; four grandsons, Michael Meschede, Brad Meschede and wife Karen, Tim Meschede and wife Katrina, and Mark Meschede; two great-grandchildren, Kristen Meschede and Drew Meschede; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
