Ester L. Moore, 86, of Slater, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Slater City Cemetery. Rev. Robert Sisney will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning prior to services at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to the Slater Veterans Memorial Park.
Born Aug. 25, 1919, in Saline County, he was the son of the late Loyd A. and Emma Blum Moore. On Oct. 28, 1950, in Marshall, he married Mary Ann Romine, who survives of the home. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Slater. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired farmer.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Nancy Lewis of rural Slater and Carol Alexander of the state of California; and one grandson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Patrick.
