Neda Lorene Browder, 85, of Marshall, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at United Pentecostal Church in Marshall. Rev. Wm. Pete Swaringam will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the United Pentecostal Church in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born June 4, 1920, in Canadian, Okla., she was the daughter of the late Lim Boatner and Bertha Viola Peck Boatner. On May 16, 1936, she married Rev. Albert Edgar Browder, who preceded her in death Feb. 10, 1998. She was raised in Oklahoma and returned to Saline County in 1986. She had worked at Banquet Foods for eight years and International Shoe Company for one year and was a homemaker. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church in Marshall.
Survivors include four sons, Albert L.D. Browder of Truman, Ark., Paul Browder of Indianola, Okla., and Jerry and Eddie Browder, both of Marshall; two daughters, Shirley Meyer and Janice Hackett, both of Marshall; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Colene Browder; a son, James Browder; one sister and two brothers.
