Georgia D. Fulkerson, 104, of Lee's Summit, formerly of Marshall, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at Wilshire at Lakewood in Lee's Summit.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Pam Sebastian will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church in Marshall.
Born April 23, 1901, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late George Seitez and Adah Ballard Seitez. On Oct. 9, 1918, she married Richard E. Fulkerson, who preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1960. She had lived in Lee's Summit the past two years, moving from Marshall where she had lived since 1963. She was a saleswoman at Harzfield's in Kansas City and had an alterations shop in her home. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Marshall.
Survivors include one son, Eugene Fulkerson of Olympia, Wash.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, James Kenneth Fulkerson; two daughters, Peggy Harvey and Marjorie Higdon; one sister, Edverta Chapman; and one half-brother, John Boyd.
