Madeline G. Wing, 90, of Sweet Springs, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at I-70 Medical Center in Sweet Springs.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Rev. Charles Ahlemann will officiate. Burial will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of Sweet Springs.
Born Dec. 28, 1915, in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Horan and Chloe Stumfa Horan. She married Royce C. Tinsley, who preceded her in death. On June 17, 1970, she married Leon Wing, who preceded her in death Sept. 8, 1985. She graduated from high school in St. Louis, where she also attended and graduated from beauty school. She was a beautician in Kentucky for many years and moved to Sweet Springs in 1970.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce A. Spears of the home; son-in-law, Frank Spears of Wilderville, Tenn.; one brother-in-law, Elmer Thomas Tinsley of Hartford, Ky.; one granddaughter, Holly Fowler and companion Kelly Clark of Wilderville, Ky.; two great-grandsons, Jesse Wayne Fowler and wife Lisa of Avon Park, Fla., and Brandon Scott Fowler of Jackson, Tenn.; one great-great-granddaughter, Grace Jane Fowler; and one nephew, Lowell Thomas Horn of Oakland, Calif.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
