Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma. Pastor Fred Hertwig and Rev. Rick Kanoy will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church Hymnal Fund or Santa Fe Foundation Fund for the Lester Rolf Agricultural Scholarship in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.
Born Aug. 6, 1936, in Alma, he was the son of the late Fred H. Rolf and Florence C. Fischer Rolf. On Aug. 19, 1956, he married Beverly Kanoy, who survives of the home. He had lived in the Alma area his entire life where he was a graduate of Alma High School. He was a dairy farmer, cattleman and had been a seed dealer for Northrup King. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he had served as an elder and usher. He was a board member of Mid Missouri Energy, a member of R-Calf and the Lafayette County Cattleman's Association, and had been very active in the Alma community his entire life.
Additional survivors include one son, Dennis Rolf and wife Becky of Alma; one daughter, Dee McVey of Alma; one son-in-law, John Zitelman of Alma; one sister, Frances Bargfrede of Alma; his mother-in-law, Mildred Kanoy of Ernestville; seven grandchildren: April Rolf, Austin Rolf, Leslee Stoneking, Dillon McVey, Lauren Zitelman, Morgan Zitelman, and Abby Zitelman; one stepgrandson, Paul Malter and wife Jeanna; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Rolf Zitelman.
