Bessie Viola Ford, 89, of Waverly, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at Apple Ridge Care Center in Waverly.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at Waverly Christian Church. Rev. Jerry Curry will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Grand Pass Community Cemetery in Grand Pass. Memorials are suggested to Waverly Christian Church in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born April 8, 1916, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late John Jacob Narron and Myrtle A. Morrow Narron. On April 27, 1931, she married Henry F. Ford, who preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1999. She had lived in the Waverly area her entire life and was a homemaker. She was a member of Waverly Christian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Maryann Williams of Gladstone, Helen L. Weaver of Waverly and Shirley J. Bullock of Arkansas City, Kan.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, six brothers and three sisters.
