Aimee A. Hall, 85, of Slater, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at the Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at First Baptist Church in Slater. Rev. Robert Sisney will officiate. Bethany Weiker, organist, will play "Just As I Am" and will accompany the congregation as it sings "Because He Lives." Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Pallbearers will be Sammy Krog, Keith Broyles, Robert Foreman and Ronnie Reed. Burial will be in Pine Grove Baptist Cemetery in Ravencliff, W.Va. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of Slater in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
Born April 23, 1920, in Besoco, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Cabell S. and Nancy Jane Dunn Payne. On Sept. 4, 1937, she married Wilburn A. Sparks, who preceded her in death March 12, 1959. On Aug. 27, 1977, in Stockton, Calif., she married Algernon E. Hill, who preceded her in death June 23, 1997. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Slater, its Willing Workers Sunday School class and assisted in the nursery of the church.
Survivors include two sons, Gene Sparks of Slater and Norman W. Sparks of Columbia; two daughters, Alice Hurley of Stockton, Calif., and Judy Butcher of Slater; one sister, Lois Gorenflo of Elkridge, Md.; nine grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.
