Dora E. Krause, 105, of Sweet Springs, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs. Rev. David Ritoch will officiate. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, and the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Pallbearers will be Gene Buie, Arthur Nelson, Paul Krause, Dennis Dierking, Robert Finkeldei, Mark Krause, Robin Krause, Kenny Howard, Randy Luebbert and Kyle Opfer. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Blackwater Chapel in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.

Born March 25, 1900, in Dunksburg, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Thomas Stephens and Louisa Lancaster Stephens. On Jan. 16, 1921, she married Arthur H. Krause, who preceded her in death Nov. 7, 1969. She had lived in the Sweet Springs area her entire life, where she was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid and was a homemaker.

Survivors include seven daughters, Hazel Gregory and husband Riddelle of Lee's Summit, Dorthy Hollomon and husband Larry of Santa Rosa, Calif., Mildred Butcher of Concordia, Marjorie Finkeldei and husband Bill of Marshall, Donna Howard and husband Walter of Sweet Springs, Carolyn Luebbert and husband Al of Sweet Springs, and Mary Opfer of Sweet Springs; two sons, Arthur Krause Jr. and wife Wilma of Independence and Robert Krause and wife Mary Lou of Concordia; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Krause of Knob Noster; one nephew, Roy Lange of Green Ridge; 37 grandchildren; 91 great-grandchildren; 68 great-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Edna May Nelson and Esther Krause; one son, Maurice Krause; one sister, Florence Lange; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-granddaughter.
