Citation issued in I-70 accident

A crash late Thursday sent a Canadian over-the-road truck driver to the hospital with moderate injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 58-year-old Jazjit Singh, of Brampton, Ontario, was injured around 11 p.m. when his 2000 Mack truck ran off the right side of Interstate 70 about a mile east of Marshall Junction. The truck ran up an embankment and overturned, coming to rest on its left side.

Saline County emergency medical personnel transported Singh to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment.

MSHP Cpl. D.K. Lilleman cited Singh for careless and imprudent driving.
