Minerva Hemme, 94, of Concordia, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at Sweet Springs Villa in Sweet Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma. Pastor Walter O. Snyder will officiate. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be R. David Hemme, Pete Melies, Nelson Guier, Jon Hemme, Brent Guier, D.J. Griggs and Nathan Paul Hemme. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Holy Cross Lutheran School.
Born Nov. 28, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Henry Luetjen and Marie Alewel Luetjen. On May 15, 1935, she married Edmond Hemme, who preceded her in death March 17, 1986. She had lived in the Concordia and Sweet Springs areas her entire life and was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and the Dorcas Society in Emma.
Survivors include one son, Roy Hemme of Sweet Springs; one daughter, Phyllis Hemme of Concordia; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
