Dessie P. Dennis, 77, of Marble Hill, formerly of Slater, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Liley Funeral Home in Patton. Rev. Jerry Geisert will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Patton Cemetery.
Born Nov. 10, 1928, in Patton, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Louie Slinkard Wilkinson. On May 14, 1946, she married Dewey Dennis, who preceded her in death Feb. 23, 2000. She was a member of Patton United Methodist Church and was a retired cook.
Survivors include three sons, Bill Dennis of St. Clair, Bobby Dennis of Torrington, Wyo., and Donnie Dennis of Slater; two daughters, Margaret Denton of Marble Hill and Mary Ann Robinson of Slater; two brothers, John Wilkinson of Marble Hill and Franklin Wilkinson of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Janice Douglas of Ironton and Lula Bell Angle of Marble Hill; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother and one grandchild.
