Ruth Grubb, 85, of rural Hardeman, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, at Faith Family Church in Fayette. Rev. Jamie Page will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mitch Powers, Mike Fischer, Jamie Ulbrich, Jerry Bender, Randy Asbury and Chris Anderson. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Faith Family Church.
Born Sept. 2, 1920, in Huntsville, she was the daughter of the late Selby Gun Kimbrough and Martha Sawyer Kimbrough. On Jan. 21, 1940, she married Ralph Grubb, who survives of the home. She had lived in the Hardeman community the last 60 years and was owner/operator of Ruth's Hair Dressing Salon for 16 years. She was a member of Faith Family Church in Fayette.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Jan Steele of Lewisville, Texas; one sister, Frances Dye of Clinton; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Joan Fischer; two brothers, Joe Kimbrough and Earl Kimbrough; and one great-grandson.
