Allie Marian Chase Thomas, 73, of rural Carrollton, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Marshall. Pastor I.B.S. Groves Jr. will officiate. Music will be provided by the church's senior choir. Pallbearers will be Kris Dunlap, Kirsten Dunlap, Kelvin Dunlap, Kelly Dunlap, Keith Dunlap, Michael Thomas and Tyler Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be Woodrow Child, Tyrone Chase, Juan Chase and Terrance Chase. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Green Funeral Chapel in Marshall. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
Born May 1, 1932, in Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late William Roger Chase Sr. and Marjorie Ada Childs Chase. On Sept. 6, 1958, she married William Thomas Jr., who preceded her in death. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Marshall. She had worked at McDonnell Douglass in Hazelwood and General Motors' Oldsmobile facility in Lansing, Mich. She was an elementary school teacher in Robertson and graduated from high school in Webster Groves in 1956. She attended Barnes School of Nursing and had held several posts in the church including serving on the Mother Board, in the senior choir, pianist, treasurer and on the building fund committee.
Survivors include one son, Billy Chase of rural Carrollton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers.
