Evelyn L. "Peck" Thomas, 81, of Marshall, formerly of Snyder, Texas, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at Mar-Saline Manor in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel in Snyder. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Snyder.
Born Sept. 27, 1924, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late William M. LaRose and Mary Emma Parker LaRose. She married John H. Thomas, who preceded her in death. She returned to Marshall in 1999, moving from Snyder and was a homemaker. She was a Presbyterian.
Survivors include one daughter, Jonlyn Jones; one brother, Ralph LaRose of Sugar Creek; three granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Rev. Warren LaRose, Paul LaRose and Joseph B. "Bill" LaRose; and two sisters, Wilma Bryan and Marie Stanfield.
