James Lincoln Frakes, 78, of Carrollton, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, at his home.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton. Rev. Lanny Lybarger officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Park Cemetery in Carrollton. Memorials are suggested to the American Red Cross in care of Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton, MO 64633.
Born May 6, 1927, in Miami, he was the son of Lincoln Frakes and Goldie Lybarger Frakes. He attended school in Miami. On Nov. 7, 1947, in Waverly, he married Mildred L. Persinger, who survives of the home. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was retired from Banquet Foods.
Additional survivors include three sons, Lloyd Wayne "Buddy" Frakes of Carrollton, Floyd James "Jimmie" Frakes of Carrollton and Raymond Michael "Sam" Frakes of Bosworth; one brother, Jack Vernon Frakes of El Dorado Springs; one sister, Pat Parker of Camdenton; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Dean Frakes, and three sisters, Delores Wilson, Audrey Brooks and one as an infant.
