Verl Rinne, 87, of rural Arrow Rock, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at Columbia Regional Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. David Van Horn will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arrow Rock Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jacob Turley, Talton Turley, Joey Turley, John Marsh, Patrick Perkins, Margaret Meyer, Karen Perkins, Dave Imgarten and Barry Imgarten. Memorials are suggested to Arrow Rock Cemetery.
Born March 13, 1918, in Saline County, he was the son of the late Carl Rinne and Louise Heuman Rinne. On Feb. 7, 1953, he married Mary Turley, who survives of the home. He was a farmer and was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Arrow Rock. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Mary Louise Stith and husband Bob of rural Arrow Rock; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew, Parilee Jackson and husband Jim of Marshall, George B. Turley of Arrow Rock and Kaye Perkins and husband David of Marshall; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Rinne, and a sister, Minnie Sigler.
