Virginia L. Mitchell, 99, of Kenwood, Ohio, formerly of Slater, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at Carriage Court of Kenwood in Kenwood.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, in Slater City Cemetery. Rev. Pam Sebasitian will officiate. Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society of Cincinnati in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
Born Nov. 13, 1905, in Slater, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie Hawkins Long. On March 9, 1929, she married E. Bishop Mitchell, who preceded her in death Feb. 12, 1976. She was a member of Slater Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution and Chapter HQ of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
Survivors include one son, Edward B. Mitchell Jr. of Hamilton, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
