George W. Freeman Sr., 87, of Marshall, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2005, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Cremation. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born Sept. 14, 1918, in Howard County, he was the son of the late George W. Freeman and Kathryn Bell Freeman. On April 9, 1961, at Buffalo, he married Willa Dean Cheek, who preceded him in death June 21, 2000. He was a farmer for many years and a resident of the Buffalo and Marshall communities all of his life. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Marshall.
Survivors include one son, J.R. Freeman of Shawnee, Kan.; three daughters, Barbie Freeman of the home, Aggie Freeman of Marshall and Rebecca Freeman of the state of Arkansas; one sister, Irene F. Potts of Gilliam; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond B. Freeman.
