Philip L. Ehrnman, 71, of The Villages, Fla., formerly of Marshall, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at The Villages Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. Father Kevin Gormley will officiate. Burial with military rites will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Villagers for Hospice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born March 8, 1934, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Robert Ehrnman and Kathryn Schreckler Ehrnman. On April 8, 1961, he married Mary Teresa Michler, who survives of the home. He was raised in Marshall and had lived in Michigan before moving to The Villages in 1999. He retired after 35 years of service in claims management with Allstate Insurance. He was a graduate of Mercy Academy in Marshall and the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, American Legion, Village Water Buffaloes and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Additional survivors include two sons, Roger Ehrnman of Hanover, Pa., and Stephen Ehrnman of Redford, Mich.; two daughters, Ann Madsen of White Lake, Mich., and Marcia Ralph of Olathe, Kan.; one sister, Bobbie Lee Prior of Shawnee Mission, Kan.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Kathleen Broyles.
