Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 18, at 1:30 p.m. at the New Woodville Baptist Church. Pastor Ralph St. Clair officiated, assisted by Nathan St. Clair. Jill Anderson-Cox, pianist, accompanied on congregational hymns "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Whispering Hope." Pallbearers were Nathan St. Clair, Tim St. Clair, Gary LaFrenz, Hank Kleine, Stuart Walker and Mark St. Clair. Honorary pallbearers were Chester St. Clair, Ralph St. Clair, Robert St. Clair and Darrell St. Clair. Burial was in New Woodville Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Scotland County Care Center or the New Woodville Cemetery.
Born Sept. 19, 1906, on the family farm located east of Wyaconda, she was the daughter of Carlton A. and Lucy Bane Cull. Her mother died when she was only three weeks old and she was lovingly raised by her father and stepmother, Gracie Horn Cull. On Aug. 15, 1926, at LaGrange, she married Samuel S. St. Clair, who preceded her in death April 11, 1998. She graduated from Wyaconda High School and attended college at Cameron. Prior to her marriage, she taught at Boston School and Mt. Hope, both in rural Clark County. She was a member of the New Woodville Baptist Church and taught Sunday School and played piano for many years. She was also a former clerk of the Pleasant Grove Association.
Survivors include two sons, Samuel Keith St. Clair of Nelson and Lynn St. Clair of Wyaconda; 11 grandchildren and stepgrandchildren: 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Gracie Horn Cull, and an infant son.
