Emma Jean White, 60, of Slater, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at St. Paul Freewill Baptist Church in Slater. Eldress Anna Falls will officiate. Pallbearers will be Harry Ford, Bobby Falls, George Parker Jr., Steven Minnis, Elmer Van Buren and Larry Moore. Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Slater.
Born Sept. 25, 1944, in Corder, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Grace Williams Taylor. She was a member of St. Paul Freewill Baptist Church and had worked as an aide at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Glasgow.
Survivors include one son, Harry White of Boonville; three daughters, Carla Miller of Slater, Mary White of Slater and ReGina Clark of Boonville; two brothers, James Taylor and Pete Taylor, both of Kansas City; one sister, Marie Taylor of Denver City, Texas; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Veronica White.
