Wilma J. Roberts, 84, of Sweet Springs, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at Sweet Springs Villa in Sweet Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Rev. Jim West will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to the family choice or charity of donor's choice.
Born Feb. 9, 1921, in Kearney, she was the daughter of the late Bowling Garner Benton and Effie R. Henson Benton. On Sept. 8, 1945, she married Paul A. Roberts, who preceded her in death March 9, 1983. She was a graduate of Yates High School in Yates and moved to Sweet Springs in 1953, where she was a homemaker. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, a former member of the Amigo Club, B&PW Club and the Community Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Krause of Blue Springs and Beverly McDonald of Sweet Springs; one sister, Edith Halterman of Moberly; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Blanche Benton.
