Kathy M. Brown Berthold, 54, of Marietta, Ga., died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, in Marietta, and at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at First Baptist Church in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, www.jdrf.org.
Born Dec. 12, 1950, in Randolph County, she was the daughter of Bragg and Erma Brown, who survive of Marshall. On Sept. 4, 1982, she married W.O. "Skip" Berthold, who survives of the home. She attended grade school in Clifton Hill and graduated from Liberty High School in 1968. She was a 1973 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia. She worked for many years as a manufacturer's representative for Sterns and Foster, a furniture and bedding company.
Additional survivors include six stepchildren; two sisters, Susan Folkert of Dallas, Texas, and Laura Drewel of Lee's Summit; one brother, Martin Brown of Coleman, Wis.; 11 stepgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Sandy Brandt of Springfield.
