Clinton A. Forqueran, 96, of Slater, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, at Mar-Saline Manor Care Center in Marshall.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Slater City Cemetery. Rev. Robert Sisney will officiate. Pallbearers will be Wayne Wright, Walter Wright, Billy Gauldin, Randy Kuhlman, Dale Meyer and Verneil Martin. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to Mar-Saline Manor Care Center.
Born Oct. 29, 1908, he was the son of the late Arthur M. and Sally Morris Forqueran. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Slater, where he had served as church janitor. He was a retired farmer and the first movie projectionist at the movie theater in Slater. He was a lifelong Slater resident.
Survivors include one sister, Edith Brown of Jefferson City; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
