Evelyn P. Pollard, 64, of Marshall, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at University Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton. Rev. Lee Borders will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Stet. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice, the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in care of Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO, 64633.
Born July 24, 1941, in Carrollton, she was the daughter of the late Loren E. and Thelma O. McDonough Wohlgemuth. In March 1967, in Carroll, Iowa, she married Ed Smith, who preceded her in death. On June 17, 1994, in Marshall, she married Steve Pollard, who survives of the home. She attended Bosworth schools. She was employed as a processor with ConAgra in Marshall for 10 years. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Carrollton.
Additional survivors include three sons, Charles Gotsch of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Barry Gotsch and Clifford Smith, both of Carrollton; one daughter, Debbie Staton of Independence; two stepsons, Stephen Evans of Marshall and Thomas Pollard of Ivy Bend; two brothers, Larry Wohlgemuth of Morrisville and Randy Wohlgemuth of Slater; four sisters, Lorene Daniel of Clinton, Mich., Donna Sebell of New Franklin, Helen McTiernan of Aurura, Colo., and Nancy Meyer of Marshall; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son in infancy and three husbands.
