Pearl George O'Donnell Butler, 67, of Marshall, formerly of Malta Bend, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Malta Bend United Methodist Church in Malta Bend. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Burial will be at a later date. A memorial fund has been established for the family.
Born Oct. 9, 1937, in Richmond, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Sadie Robinson George. She married Henry "Hank" O'Donnell, who preceded her in death. Then, on March 14, 1990, in Miami, Okla., she married Victor Butler, who survives of the home. She had worked as a cook at Camelot Inn in Higginsville and as a nurses' aide in Liberty. She was a member of Malta Bend United Methodist Church in Malta Bend.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Nannette Haley of Malta Bend and Mechelle Hall of Hardin; five sons, Louis E. George Jr. of Lexington, Henry Woodrow O'Donnell of Marshall, Martin Lynn O'Donnell of Richmond, Everett Douglas O'Donnell and Randall Scott O'Donnell of Malta Bend; one stepdaughter, Stacy Lynn Bush of Knoxville; 25 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson.
