R.W. Rogers, 84, of Marshall, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Friends may call until 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the Saline County Fairgrounds.
Born Feb. 26, 1921, in Napton, he was the son of the late Leonard A. Rogers and Bessie Iona Moore Rogers. On Oct. 4, 1944, he married Geraldine Burton, who preceded him in death Dec. 9, 1968. On Nov. 14, 1970, he married Margaret Crowley Crutchfield, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall his entire life and worked as a production supervisor for Cargill Feed for nearly 40 years, retiring in 1983.
Additional survivors include three sons, Ritchie Rogers of Overland Park, Kan., Marc Rogers of Blue Springs, and Brent Rogers of Aurora, Ill.; one brother, Bobby Rogers of Marshall; one sister, Garadel Krone of North Kansas City; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Terry Rogers; two sisters; three brothers and one daughter in infancy.
