Cora I. Perkins, 89, of Marshall, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, at Mar-Saline Manor in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at First Assembly of God in Marshall. Rev. Aaron Pack will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery near Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Born Feb. 2, 1916, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late John Samuel Case and Margaret Harris Case. On July 16, 1931, she married Rev. A. Coleman Perkins, who preceded her in death Sept. 3, 1979. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a member of First Assembly of God. She and her husband pastored Assembly of God churches for nearly 42 years and she had worked at Stampers in Marshall as well as being a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons, John R. Perkins of Goodlettsville, Tenn., Thomas "Jake" Perkins of Belle; Rev. Fred A. Perkins of Hermitage and Bill W. Perkins of Holden; three daughters, Doris Hayes of Wheatland, Coleta Murray of Marshall and Cora Bonebrake of Rolla; one sister, Patsy Mark of Marshall; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Charles Perkins; one daughter, Margaret Ann Perkins; and several brothers and sisters.
