Robert H. Singleton, 64, of Sweet Springs, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Born Jan. 6, 1941, in Richmond, Ind., he was the son of the late Huston Singleton and Ruth Bolser Singleton, who survives of Richmond. On Aug. 20, 2001, he married Rita Hillebrenner Colbert, who survives of the home. He was a graduate of Richmond Senior High School and retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service. He had served as mayor of Sweet Springs and as a municipal judge in Sweet Springs and LaMonte.
Additional survivors include three sons, Bron Robert Singleton of Sweet Springs, Troy Huston Singleton of Sweet Springs and Jon C. Singleton of Concordia; one stepdaughter, Rhonda Cramer of Sweet Springs; two sisters, Betty L. Bussen and Sharon K. Collier, both of Richmond; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
