Cora Alice Warner, 88, of Waverly, died Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Carroll House in Carrollton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at Victory Christian Fellowship Church in Waverly. Rev. Mike Walker will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Grand Pass Community Cemetery in Grand Pass. Memorials are suggested to Victory Christian Fellowship Church in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born Feb. 12, 1917, in Waverly, she was the daughter of the late Romey Smith and Cora Bell Hostetter Smith. On Oct. 16, 1937, in Carrollton, she married Ivor Kay Warner, who preceded her in death Dec. 18, 1997. She had lived in Waverly since 1978, moving from Jackson, Mich., where she was a daycare provider and homemaker. She was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Patty Kay Petet of Waverly; two sons, Ricky Dean Warner of Jackson, Mich., and Randy Scott Warner of Independence; two sisters, Classie Warner of Bosworth and Shirley Smith of Grand Pass; one brother, Billy D. Smith of Carrollton; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
