Mim Drake, 79, of rural Marshall, died Friday, July 8, 2005, in rural Marshall.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 11, at First Presbyterian Church in Marshall. Rev. Pam Sebastian officiated. Julie Lewis played "How Great Thou Art," "In the Garden," "Amazing Grace" and "The Lord's Prayer." Pallbearers were Walter Brown, Ray Finley, Kyle Rinne, Tim Reeder, John Fletcher, Sam Dyer, Herbert Piper and Larry Morgan. Burial was in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church, Butterfield Youth Services or Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.

Born Aug. 31, 1925, in Pettis County, she was the daughter of the late William Forrest Wright and Nina Marie Bridge Wright. On Oct. 19, 1943, she married J. William Drake, who preceded her in death Dec. 28, 1984. She had lived in rural Marshall since 1943, moving from Sedalia, and was a retired clerical assistant for Butterfield Youth Services. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she had served as a deacon.

Survivors include one daughter, Jan Pace of Higginsville; one son, Ron Drake of Marshall; one sister, Jesse Kelly of Sedalia; three grandchildren, Jill Rinne and Jennifer LaRue, both of Higginsville, and Skyler Drake of Marshall; six great-grandchildren, Kyle Rinne, Kristi Rinne, Kody Rinne, Paige Stuerke, Caleb LaRue and Samantha LaRue; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Wright and Lester Wright; and one sister, Arretta Kinder.
