Eunice Evelyn Stallings, 92, of Marshall, died Thursday, July 7, 2005, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Wayne Doolin will officiate. Julie Lewis, pianist, will play "Precious Memories" and "Beyond the Sunset." Pallbearers will be Chester Nolte, Jerry Balke, Martin Kiehl, Cy Murray, Charles Buie and Merle Trelow. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church or The Living Center.
Born June 15, 1913, in Orrick, she was the daughter of the late Charles Watkins and Eva M. McKinney Watkins. On July 20, 1941, she married Hunter C. Stallings, who preceded her in death Jan. 19, 1986. She had lived in Marshall since 1984, moving from a farm near Mt. Leonard. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Fidelis Sunday school class and Marshall Chapter 408 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one son, Tom Stallings and wife Suzie of Marshall; two granddaughters, Kelly Betz and husband Derek of Belleville, Ill., and Courtney Ceresia and husband Doug of San Diego, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Emma Betz.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy, Sally Stallings; and one brother, Cecil O. Watkins.
