Charity Ann Markes Howery, 44, of Marshall, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 9, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. Prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, July 8, at the church. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Union Cemetery near Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born June 24, 1961, in Marshall, she was the daughter of Eugene A. Markes and Barbara Kay Eddy Markes, who survive of rural Marshall. On July 19, 1980, she married Eddie Howery, who survives of the home. She was co-owner of West Central Delivery and owner of Charity's Cakes. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and was active in 4-H for many years.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Nicole Howery of Marshall; one son, Jeremy Nicholas Howery of Marshall; three sisters, Barbara Jean Donelson of Marshall, Rita Kay Lightle of Brookfield and Rose Marie Riley of Huntsville; two brothers, Ronald Eugene Markes of Columbia and Anthony Markes of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews.
