Charles M. Tygart, 87, of Warrensburg, formerly of Marshall, passed away Monday, July 4, 2005, at Country Club Care Center.
Charles was born Sunday, June 30, 1918, to Thomas and Ethel Lena Fosnow Tygart in Elkhart, Kan. On Sept. 21, 1938, in Marshall, he married Mildred Howard, who survives of the home. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Marshall. He owned Tygart and Arth Body Shop in Marshall and had also worked at McKinney Motors in Marshall.
Also surviving are three sisters, Venita Hidler of Warrensburg, Gladys Hanson of Payette, Idaho, and Clara Fiene of Warrensburg; two brothers, Audrey Tygart of Smithville and Vernon Tygart of Kansas City; an aunt, Bessie Carder of Warrensburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Shelby Tygart and Alva Tygart.
The family would like to thank Twin Lakes Hospice and the nursing staff at the nursing home as well as all of their friends and relatives for their support.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 7, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel. Burial will follow the service at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church in Marshall or Twin Lakes Hospice. These may be left at Williams Funeral Chapel.
