Martha Lillian Townsend Dollard, 85, of Nelson, died Friday, July 1, 2005, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 3, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Rev. Phil Soto and William W. Harlow will officiate. Friends may call Saturday, July 2, until 5 p.m. at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Nelson Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Nelson Baptist Church Building Fund.
Born April 13, 1920, in Postal, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Thomas Townsend and Pearl Edverta Biggs Townsend. On Dec. 18, 1938, she married Raymond Bryan Dollard, who preceded her in death July 31, 1998. She had lived in the Nelson area most of her life and was a graduate of Blackwater High School. She was a developmental aide II at the Marshall Habilitation Center, retiring in 1982 after 15 years of service. She was a member of Nelson Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Raylene Cornine and husband Leroy of Nelson and Sheryl "Shery" Gochenour of Marshall; a brother, Marvin Townsend and wife Charlene of Kansas City; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother and a granddaughter.
