James M. "Bud" Lynch, 90, of Sweet Springs, died Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 17, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs. Rev. Gene Page will officiate. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the funeral home. Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery near Elmwood. Memorials are suggested to the Pisgah Cemetery Association.
Born Feb. 10, 1915, in Saline County, he was raised by his grandparents, the late William and Adina Lynch. On Nov. 23, 1938, he married Winifred M. Wright, who survives of the home. He was a graduate of Sweet Springs High School and had lived in Saline County most of his life. He worked for the Sweet Springs Special Road District for 20 years, was a farmer and was a member of Elmwood United Methodist Church.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Alice Adina Norris of Lawrence, Kan.; two sons, James Michael Lynch of Marshall, Va., and Joe Lynch of Kansas City, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his grandparents, he was preceded in death by his parents.
