Viola Elsea Eddy, 82, of Sweet Springs, died Friday, June 3, 2005, at Lafayette Health Center in Lexington.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church in Sweet Springs.
Born Aug. 25, 1922, in Lafayette County, she was the daughter of the late Matt Elsea and Tessie Lewis Elsea. On Oct. 14, 1941, in Carrollton, she married Clyde Eddy, who preceded her in death Jan. 22, 1991. She had lived in Sweet Springs most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church in Sweet Springs.
Survivors include one daughter, Glenda Louise Frakes of Carrollton; one brother, Jack Elsea of Marshall; two sisters, Nellie Meyer of Sweet Springs and Louise Schlue of Concordia; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin Elsea, William Elsea and Palmore Elsea; and one sister, Ethel Emma Sholes.
