Ida Mae Hyland, 92, of Marshall, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dale Miles, Duane Mullins, Stephen Wetton, Brian Miles, Hugh Wetton, John Hammer and Todd Wetton. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
Born Jan. 2, 1913, in Slater, she was the daughter of the late Joe King and Annie Edna Smith King. On Aug. 8, 1930, she married Percy H. Hyland, who preceded her in death May 31, 1991. She had lived in Saline County most of her life. She and her husband farmed for many years. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her caregiver for many years, Helen Hammer of Marshall; two sisters-in-law, Nellie Hoffman of rural Marshall and Betty King of Mountain Home, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert King; and one sister, Marie DeRoche.
