Ethel Nadine Glenn Quick, 71, of Marshall, died Sunday May 15, 2005, at Mar-Saline Manor in Marshall.
Private family memorial graveside services will be held at Blue Lick Cemetery in Saline County at a later date. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
Born April 30, 1934, in Norborne, she was the daughter of the late Ora Glenn and Nina Shipman Glenn. On April 26, 1953, she married Samuel J. Quick Sr., who survives of the home. She was a 1952 graduate of Stet High School in Stet. She worked at Business Men's Assurance Company from June 1952 to April 1953 and worked for several years at the Marshall Habilitation Center. On April 26, 2003, she and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Additional survivors include four sons, Byron Quick and wife Jennifer, Robert E. Quick and wife Carol Ann, Oran W. Quick and wife Fay and Samuel J. "Jay" Quick Jr., all of Marshall; one daughter, Berneta A. "Bea" Quick of Marshall; one sister, Doris Brock and husband Delbert of Pittsburg; one brother, John Ferman Glenn of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Glenn; one sister, Lois M. Markley; one brother-in-law, Howard Markley; and one nephew, Donald D. "Doc" Markley.
