Amanda Ruiz Tobar, 76, of Guatemala, died Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. Father Kevin Gormley officiated. Burial will be in Tapiche Abajo Cemetery in Asuncion Mita Jutiapa, Guatemala.

Born Sept. 12, 1928, in Tapiche Abajo, she was the daughter of the late Dolores Moran and Petrona Ruiz. She married Francisco Tobar H., who survives of the home. She had lived in Guatemala her entire life.

Additional survivors include many children, including daughter Martha Tobar of Marshall, brothers, sisters and grandchildren.
