James "Mick" Cary, 64, of rural Marshall, died Monday, May 2, 2005, at his home.

Cremation. No services will be held.

Born March 18, 1941, in San Diego, Calif., he was the son of the late Fern Cary and Bessie Montee Cary. On Jan. 1, 1960, in San Diego, he married Kathy Bostrom, who survives of the home. He had lived in Saline County since 1983, moving from the state of Illinois. He retired as plant manager of Rose Acres in 1997 and was a cattleman.

Additional survivors include one son, Brent Cary of Marshall; two daughters, Robin Cary of San Diego and Jamie Reed of Champaign, Ill.; one brother, Dan Cary of San Diego; one sister, Wilma Light of Reno, Nev.; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Todd Cary.
