Melvin Hunt, 65, of Sweet Springs, formerly of Marshall, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at Sweet Springs Villa in Sweet Springs.
Cremation. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, at Sweet Springs Villa in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.
Born May 28, 1939, in Sedalia, he was the son of the late Clarence Hunt and Catherine Hayes Hunt. He married Rose Mary Ross, who survives. He had lived in Saline County most of his life, had worked at ConAgra in Marshall and had various other farm jobs.
Additional survivors include two brothers, Clarence Hunt of Hazel Green, Ala., and Marvin Hunt of Marshall; two sisters, Clara Cummings of Marshall and Shirley Huddleston of Emporia, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, one daughter and one sister.
